1. Fun Holidays Goa is a resort or an apartment?
Fun Holidays Goa is a set of three apartments which have been bought from resorts. Our guests have free access to the facilities of the resort like the swimming pool, the garden restaurant, bar etc but the housekeeping and take care of our guests is done by our staff.
The management of our apartments is under us and not the resort.
2. How many rooms are there in one apartment?
The Calangute apartments have a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom (accessible from the bedroom) and two balconies.
The Arpora apartment has a long hall divided into a bedroom and a living room, there is a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony.
3. How big are the apartments?
The Calangute apartments are 53 sq mtrs
The Arpora apartment is 45 sq mtrs
4. Are there balconies in the apartment?
Yes, the Calangute apartment has two private balconies.
The Arpora apartment has one private balcony
5. What is the view from the balconies?
The Calangute apartments have a green view.
The Arpora apartments have a view of the lake next to us.
6. Which room is the bathroom attached to?
The Calangute apartments have bathroom access from the bedroom.
The Arpora apartments have bathroom access from the hall in the apartment.
7. Which floor are the apartments on?
Both the Calangute and Arpora apartments are on the second floor.
8. Can you give me a ground floor apartment?
I am sorry. All our apartmtns are on the second floor.
9. Is the apartment air conditioned?
Yes, the AC is in the bedroom but it can cool down the entire apartment.
10. Are there LCD/ LED TVs in the apartment?
A. Yes, all the apartments have LCD TVs with satellite connection.
11. Do the apartments have power back up?
A. Yes, all the apartments have inverter back up for lights and fans.
12.Is the apartment suitable for kids?
Yes, they have been done up keeping young parents in mind with a kitchenette,kids channels on TV, baby pool with the swimming pool etc.
13. How many people can one apartment sleep?
The apartment is meant for 2 adults but with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room (opens up into a 5′ X 6′ bed), they can sleep four adults comfortably.
14. Can we adjust more than 4 in one apartment?
No. We strictly do not allow more than 4 adults per apartment.
15. How many people can you accommodate in total?
In Calangute- We have 2 apartments. We can accommodate a max of 8 adults.
In Arpora – We have only one apartment so we can accommodate maximum 4 people.
16. Do you have two or Three BHKs also?
No.
Facilities and Services
Unless mentioned, all our apartments are the same
1. Who will do the housekeeping?How often?
Housekeeping is done by our staff. Daily.
2. How often is the linen changed?
As a green initiative bed sheets and towels are changed every third day unless there is an emergency.
3. For any requirement, whom do I call?
My staff and I are just a phone call, Email, Whatsapp away.
4. What about our laundry?
Our guests have access to the facilities but not the services of the resort. Please give your laundry to our staff and they will get it done from a laundry outside.
5. Do you provide toiletries?
Soaps and shampoo are provided.
6. Does the building have a lift?
No, we help you burn holiday calories and have a guilt free holiday 🙂
7. Are the apartments wheelchair accessible?
No.
8. What is the arrangement for drinking water?
A. The apartments have Eureka Forbes water purifier.
9. Do you have Wi-Fi?
A. Yes, we provide free WiFi.
10. Is there a locker in the apartment?
There are lockable drawers in the apartment.
11. Electronic items in the apartment?
Wi-Fi, Fridge, Satellite TV, AC, Geyser, Iron and Microwave.
12. Do I need to carry a hair dryer?
Yes, we do not provide hair dryers.
13. Do I need to carry an iron?
A. No, we provide iron and there is an iron table in the apartment.
14. Is there an intercom in the apartment?
In Calangute, no.
In Arpora, there is an intercom to the reception and the kitchen of the resort, you can use it for ordering food from the restaurant.
Is there a laptop table in the apartment?
Yes, there is a folding laptop table attached to the wall in the apartment.
16. Is there a Dining table in the apartment?
Yes, the laptop table can also be used as a small dining table.
17. Is there a fire extinguisher in the apartment?
Yes.
18. Is there a first aid kit in the apartment?
Yes.
19. Will someone be sharing the apartment with me?
No, the entire apartment with private bathroom, kitchenette and balconies is yours.
20. What all is there in the kitchenette?
Microwave, Fridge, Water Purifier. Kadhai, sauce pan, Tawa, pressure cooker, chakla belan and cups, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives etc.
The Calangute apartments have single burner gas stoves.
The Arpora apartment has an induction hot plate.
21. Do you have parking?
Yes.
The calangute apartment has free, unreserved, secure parking inside the resort.
The Arpora apartment has free and safe parking just outside the resort.
22. Can I avail the facilities of the resort?
Our guests can use facilities like swimming pool, baby pools, garden restaurant, shops of the resort and the sprawling property.
Services like laundry, swimming pool towels etc are not available for our guests.
The Calangute apartment does not have room service.
The Arpora apartment has room service.
23. Restrictions on using the swimming pool?
Our guests can use the swimming pool only according to the rules of the resort like timing, dress code and code of conduct. The list of rules are specified in front of the pool.
24. How safe is the place?
The apartments are in the gated complex of a resort with CCTV cameras and 24 hours security.
25. Do you conduct sight seeing trips?
No, but we give you enough information, local knowledge and contacts so that you can make your own itinerary.
26. Do you rent out bikes or cars?
No, but there are many rentals around our place and we can also help you arrange for one.
27. Do you have packages?
No, we give you all the information you need and prefer you to chose and pay for what you want and when you want it.
Food
Unless mentioned, all our apartments are the same.
1. Can I get room service to my apartment?
In Calangute- no.
In Arpora – yes. You just need to pay for the food as soon as it is delivered to your room.
2. Why is there no complimentary breakfast?
We tried giving complimentary breakfast to our guests through various sources (as we do not have our own kitchen there) but nothing matched up to our standards. Finally we had to stop it. We give you other options like- having breakfast at the resort’s restaurant, fixing up something in the kitchen in the apartment.
In Arpora- you can also order breakfast to your room from the resort’s restaurant.
3. Can I get outside food delivered to my room?
In Calangute, yes.
In Arpora- no. You can have food from the resort’s restaurant delivered to your room. You will only need to settle the bill as soon as the food is delivered to you.
4. Packed food will get cold by the time we eat.
You have a microwave in the apartment to heat food.
5. Are any other meals complimentary?
No. And we recommend you try out the Goan cuisine in the many famous restaurants around us. You will find more information about them on our blog on the “Home” page.
6. Any vegetarian restaurants around?
There are many vegetarian restaurants near the resort. You can read more about them on our blog on the “Home” page.
Location, Transport and Sight seeing
Unless mentioned, all our apartments are the same.
1. Which beach are you close?
Calangute resort is about 750 mtrs from Calangute beach.
Arpora resort is about 2 km from Baga beach.
2. Are you in North Goa or South Goa?
North Goa
3. Which tourist attractions are close to you?
Most of what Goa is famous for is within 3 km radius. Like- shacks, water sports, shopping, pubs, restaurants, some forts and the hip crowd. You will find more information regarding this in our blog on the “Home” page.
4. Which is the closest railway station?
The closest railway station is Thivim (19km) , then Madgaon (40 km) and then Vasco-da-gama (42 km).
5. I am coming by bus, where should I get down?
Mapusa, if your bus stops there, else Panjim bus stand is the closest.
6. How far is the airport?
Dabolim international airport is about 45 km.
7. Can you arrange for a pick up and drop for me?
Yes
Rates, Booking and Cancellation
Unless mentioned, all our apartments are the same
1. Will I be charged anything extra for cooking?
No.
2. Extra charges for 3rd and 4th guest?
Rs 400 per extra guest. We do not take more than 2 extra guests per apartment.
3. How do I book?
50% of the entire amount needs to be paid for booking. The rest 50% and Rs 2000 refundable deposit to be paid at arrival. The refundable deposit will be refunded at check-out after checking the premises for any damages. You can pay through
a. UPI to komalbera@icici through your bank app, Paytm or any other wallet.
b.Online transfer to our bank account.
c. Cheque deposit of the booking amount.
4. Will I get a booking confrimation?
Yes, we will send you a confirmation mail once we get the booking deposit.
5. Can I book upon arrival?
Yes, but we cannot assure availability in that case. Since we have only three apartments, they get booked pretty fast.
6. What length of booking gets discounts?
Discounts start will bookings of 7 nights.
7. What is your cancellation policy?
Till 15 days to check in 100% refund
Till 7 days to check in 25% refund
Thereafter No Refund
House Rules
Unless mentioned, all our apartments are the same
1. What is the check-in/Check-out time?
The check-in time is 1 pm and the check-out time is 11 am.
2. Is early check-in/late check-out possible?
Yes,we give early check in till 8 am and late check out till 6 pm, if it does not clash with our previous or next guest. And we do not charge anything for it.
3. Are pets allowed?
No.
4. Is smoking allowed on the property?
Yes, but ashtrays are to be used, burn marks will be charged.
5. What is the Check in procedure?
The resort does not manage our apartments so they will not know about your booking. Please call us as soon as you land in Goa so that my staff is ready to welcome you at the apartment. They do not stay at the property. All the paperwork needs to be finished at or before check-in (online, before starting your vacation)
6. What paperwork needs to be done?
Indians need to send us pictures of the proof of identity of all the guests and foreigners need to fill up a Form C.
7. What is this zero tolerance policy?
We are renting out our home to decent well behave guests. We love it when our guests have fun but we have zero tolerance for misbehaviour, any thing indecent, illegal or unethical. Unfortunately, Goa has become a destination of a lot of wrong things. We keep an eye and any suspicious behaviour is reported to the police. Any such activity will also lead to a cancellation of reservation without any refund.
8. Can we take the provided towels to the beach?
No. As a green initiative, we change linen only once in three days. Towels taken to the beach cannot be reused.

1. I am confused, which apartment should I go for?
Go for the Calangute apartment if –
a. You are more than 4 guests.
b.You want to live within walking distance to all that is hip and happening in Goa
c. You are on a tight budget.
Go for the Arpora apartment if you want to live in luxury and style in a beautiful, well maintained resort with room service etc.
2. Does the owner stay at the property?
No. My name is Komal and I am the owner of the property. I do not stay there. You have the apartment to you. My staff will be coming everyday for housekeeping and will make sure that you are comfortable.
